EV1 Ads and Media
This page archives various EV1 ads and media.

The appliance EV1 commercial first aired during Seinfeld when the EV1 was first introduced. I don't recall seeing the shorter ~1min version airing more than a few times.

The below Attik produced commercials never aired on TV.

Top Gear on Electric Cars (1991)
In the historical interest of showing how electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid solutions have been contemplated for decades, see this 7 minute segment from a 1991 Top Gear (episode 11) which features a glimpse of the phenomenal GM EV1 Impact prototype electric car. The Los Angeles smog dilemma is discussed along with California's Air Resources Board 1990 historic Zero Emission Vehicles mandate. Two decades later no major auto manufacture has any plug-in EVs or PHEVs available for sale. They crushed their amazing late 1990s electric car efforts after CARB buckled at upholding the original 1990 ZEV mandate requirement that 10% of all vehicles sold in California by 2003 be Zero Emission Vehicles. The segment primarily reviews the PHEV British designed LA301.

EV2 Electric Spot (2000)
This amazing EV2 spot appears to have been filmed at the GM Test Track ride at Disney's Epcot Center
in Florida as a marketing pitch for a director's demo reel. Check out the "Test Track" ride attraction here.
